Fox News is an American 24 hour news channel which reports the news with an unabashed right wing spin. Since conventional journalism strives to question authority, and since Republicans often occupy positions of authority in the U.S., conservatives began to perceive a liberal bias in the media. Instead of striving for a more fair and balanced approach, Rupert Murdoch and the folks at FOX created a news channel that simply champions the Conservative line. The network serves as a jingoistic cheerleader of Republican policy and is very proud of that fact. For the past few years, they've murdered (executed?) their competition in the ratings.
